Ahem, I like how the resolution increases. Think of it as free upscale. mirek190, you can scale down your image and reload it back into inpaint box. Don't punish us who want to make prints or wallpapers. Anyway, v2.5 works great. We have a solution. If it starts getting too big, resize the output image to half or 2/3 then reload into inpaint window. You don't have to do this each time. Only when it gets too big for your computer. I have a 3070 8gig. I did 1x to left, batch of 4. Pick the best then reload. Repeat the process 2x to right. No problem with speed. Happy with the size increase. |

fooocus uses Adobe Firefly’s algorithm to handle this - if you try outpaint many times, you will find that images are bigger but processing speed and iter/s do not decrease. That algorithm proved to be good in their Generative Fill |

Yes That tool is amazing without the question ;) but still can be improved ;) Look on original picture outpaited x3 times (up to 3x times usually works ok with outpaint v1) ... not counting on my rtx 3090 next outpainting takes 1 minute ... ( 5582x3384 ) outpaint to 9098x5862 ... inpaint v1
then look on the picture I resized before outpainying ( 1395x916) outpaint to 2273x1464
On the other hand much worse outpaint results I have with version 2.5: first attempt
second attempt version of outpaint v1 first attempt second attempt My observation Seems v2.5 has very high tendency to make frames and later brakes picture completely ( if is a high resolution - resized to original resolution seems less possibility to make frames and breaks outpainting ) I hope you understand it better now what I wanted to explain and show. |

Am just throwing this here for discussion... A recent conversation with @MoonRide303 video link: https://youtu.be/VJymbJ97WDQ?si=TYNKhARgmvKvOEi2 Ideally, the total new area for outpainting should be around 1024x1024. I don't have the math formula, but if you are going to do (top, bottom, left, right) at the same time, maybe to optimize results, calculate how much you have to downsize so the newly generated area is around 1024x1024 pixel count Maybe that is why the below outpainting came out good. It is not about the total size of your image. The fooocus ;) should be on the size of the tile. |

Testing 2.5 inpaint Struggling with image out-paint especially feet, please see image. Often by the time you reach the feet portion they are never flat on the floor and mutated / bad anatomy. Often the lower limbs get a bit extended disproportionate, like x2 calf's to ankle and elongated foot. Also thin horizontal seam fringe as per screenshot. Thanks for all your superb work , fooocus is my favorite!

Hello. I really like Fooocus and the new version of "Inpaint", which is just great for helping photographers. I didn't know where to ask, so I'll ask here. Are you planning to combine "Inpaint" and "Image Prompt" in the future? Is it even possible to combine these two tools? Anyway, thanks for the work done. |

Hello everyone,
Since inpaint is one of the most important features of any image generating software, we plan to step forward and invite you to participant in the beta test of Fooocus Inpaint V2.
To test the Fooocus Inpaint V2, you can use
run.batto update to at least Fooocus 2.1.33, then go toadvanced -> advanced -> developer debug mode -> Inpaint Engine -> v2. Then in the first time you use inpaint, it will download a 2.4GB file.Depending on the results of this beta test (will last one or two weeks, depending on your feedback), some possible outcomes are
