Make it a star import to be as widely compatible as possible, some bundlers don't seem to like named imports for commonjs modules
This it turns out is resulting in some bundling tools thinking this file is an esmodule, which is NOT correct.

It turns out my fixes from #24 weren't quite enough, there were a few other things going on.
I tested this end to end locally, these changes should get my test plugin building.
