Read-only access

I don't know if this is more of / also a syn issue, but it would be great to be able to provide both read-only and read-write access.

Implementation idea 1: perhaps the Holochain validation rules would prevent commits to the chain unless a special authorization entry were present. Then the invite code could just provide the DNA hash, and another code (or extra words appended to the read-only code) would provide the data for the authorization code.

Or perhaps, only the progenitor of the board gets write access, and they have to confer write access to others explicitly. Anyone with write access can confer write access to anyone else. (This way you can see who conferred access to whom.)

Once this is possible, I would love to see the Acorn Dev Acorn board as a read-only member!

I would like to see this too. I'd love to be able to grant people viewing access but not editing access to projects.
