fix(oauth): report browser launch failures and harden device login UX - #6311
Conversation
Match the standard desktop/CLI sign-in behavior (VS Code, GitHub CLI, Codex CLI): - POST /api/oauth/login now awaits the proxy-side launcher and returns browserLaunch (started | failed | skipped), the contract the Codex account login already had. Every dashboard login surface carries it into LoginHint, which says so when nothing could be opened and keeps the URL and link. - Device logins get "Copy code & open": one click copies the code and opens the verification page (http/https only). Their link reads "Open sign-in page" instead of "Didn't open?", as does a login whose launch was declined. - The provider pollers stretch their budget once a device code appears, so a 15-30 minute grant is no longer cancelled by the GUI at 200-300 seconds. - Native main-account device reauth renders through LoginHint, so its URL and code are copyable and openable instead of plain text.

Summary
Before this change, a dashboard login could stall with no explanation. In the desktop app it was worse: the only fallback link did nothing. PR #6303 fixed that link in the desktop shell. This PR hardens the rest of the sign-in flow.
I compared the flow against current VS Code, GitHub CLI, Codex CLI and Azure CLI behavior, and against RFC 8252 and RFC 8628. Those sources converge on the same UX: say when the browser did not open, keep the URL copyable, let one click copy a device code and open the page, and wait for as long as the code is valid. The gaps closed here:
POST /api/oauth/loginused to drop the launcher's result (void openUrl(...)), and the GUI ignored thebrowserLaunchfield that/api/codex-auth/loginalready returned. The generic route now waits for the launcher and returnsbrowserLaunch: started | failed | skipped. Every login surface passes it toLoginHint: the provider workspace, the add-provider modal, the catalog account rows and the Codex account modal. When nothing could be opened,LoginHintnow shows "The browser didn't open automatically. Open the sign-in page below or copy the link." The login keeps polling.startedonly proves that a launcher ran, so the GUI never presents it as success.window.open, so both happen inside the click's user activation. The button only appears for http(s) URLs. In the desktop app the new window goes to the default browser through fix(desktop): open dashboard links in the default browser #6303's handler. Nothing tried to open a browser for a device login or for a login where the user declined the automatic launch, so for those the link reads "Open sign-in page" instead of "Didn't open? Click here".gui/src/oauth-login-budget.ts. The provider's own expiry still ends the login first, through the existing status error.LoginHint, so both can be copied and the page opened.Response changes are additive. Three new strings were added to all 10 locale catalogs.
