🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
Keep xAI custom-call ID repair when input-ID preservation is enabled.
If an xAI Responses provider enables preserveResponsesInputItemIds, this branch skips stripItemIdsWhenUnstored for every request. That helper also repairs a missing or invalid custom_tool_call.id when isXaiResponsesDestination(provider) is true, even when store is not false. stripInvalidItemIds can remove an invalid ID, but cannot create the replacement. Keep xAI custom-call repair independent of the decision to retain other input IDs; add a regression case with the option enabled and a repairable custom call.

Summary
Fixes #6220.
When connecting OpenCodex to local launcher relays such as Codex Web GPT (
chatgpt-web/*), requests failed with:The upstream launcher relies on either
input[].idorinput[].internal_chat_message_metadata_passthrough.turn_idto identify current-turn user revisions. OpenCodex previously stripped all input item IDs whenstore: falseand strippedinternal_chat_message_metadata_passthroughfor all noncanonical destinations. This PR adds two targeted opt-in provider options:
preserveResponsesInputItemIds: preservesinput[].idonstore: falserequests without risking 404s on standard stateless upstreams.preserveResponsesMessageMetadata: preservesinternal_chat_message_metadata_passthroughon outgoing input items for noncanonical destinations.Standard Responses upstreams keep their strict sanitization rules unchanged by default.
