'Publishing channel %' value gets reset after opening a modal window

Observed behavior

The 'Publishing channel %' value gets reset after opening a modal window and after that successfully resumes.

Expected behavior

The percentage value should not be impacted when there's a modal window being opened as it can be confusing.

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Go to https://hotfixes.studio.learningequality.org/en/accounts/#/ and sign in
2. Open an unpublished channel and click the Publish button.
3. While the publishing is ongoing click the Edit channel details option or the channel info icon
4. Close the modal window and observe that the publish progress is briefly reset to 0% after which it resumes correctly
