Sync resources - The option to sync 'assessment details' is not functioning

Observed behavior

The option to sync 'assessment details' (update questions, answers and hints) is not functioning when selected by itself alone - I have to select all 4 checkboxes in the Sync resources modal window in order to get my question, answers and hints updated.

Expected behavior

After having selected only the option to sync assessment details all questions, answers and hints should get updated.

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Create a channel A and channel B.
2. Create exercises with questions, answers and hints in channel A and then import the same exercises in channel B.
3. Edit some or all questions, answers and hints in channel A.
4. Go to channel B, click the Sync resources menu item and select only the option to sync 'assessment details' in the modal window.
5. Compare the questions, answers and hints in channel A and B.

Testing on hotfixes made me realize that #3803 fixes the backend part of it. But still in the frontend, the sync_channel updates are not getting reflected.

Only upon clearing index DB, I could see the results of sync_channel backend updates.

Hi @bjester while going though #3803 where it is stated that it closes this issue I noticed that as stated by @vkWeb the changes made in #3803 are not reflected in the frontend. So if I have copied one of my exercises then in Kolibri completing one of the imported exercises results in all being marked as completed and also if I attempt to sync my resources after the syn all the copied exercises default to the first one:
