More details for "number of modified files"

I often do not only want "number of modified files", but actually four numbers: number of added files, number of deleted files, number of files that are not new but have only additions, and number of files that are not deleted but have deletions (and possibly additions)

Some thoughts from issue triage

• this seems tricky to implement: we're not aware of github exposing this information; calling git for this information is a significant departure from the current architecture
• how would we present this information without visual overload?
