->with('parent') do not work

When i try to get Category::with('parent')->get(); Its ok but if i return ->toJson(), or ->toArray() the parent attribute become a hidden.Why it happens?

Are you sure that 'parent' is not hidden on your Category model?

Category::with('ancestors')->get()->toArray()

You can use 'ancestors' to get an collection of previous category levels.
If you use 'parent' you gonna get only the last level before your category.
