Can I use a seperate /home partition?

I already have a pre-existing btrfs /home partition on my ssd to make distro-hopping easier.
**Is it possible to use that partition as the /home partition in astOS, too or do I have to have one single root partition with everything on it for the installer to work?**

There was no obvious answer in the Readme/issues, so I figured I'd ask. 
Sorry in advance, if this is a stupid question.
