Calling `adm` with obviously bad inputs isn't gracefully handled

Similar issue to that raised in labscript-suite/Prawnblaster#25. Any error in running the command results in a print to the write buffer, but execution continues on. If too many commands are being sent, this results in undefined behavior that locks up the pico.
