This page collects some useful lab hardware which has been successfully tested by labgrid users.

PDUs

Pengutronix uses GUDE 8080 and 87-1210-18 in the rack-based labs. For smaller labs, plugs supported by Tasmota are an alterternative.

USB UART / Serial Adapters

Pengutronix uses simple adapters based on the Silicon Labs CP210x ICs.

The Raspberry Pi Debug Probe is an alternative which also features Arm SWD, and has an indicator light for when data is being transceived.

USB Hubs

Any hub supported by uhubctl should work.

Pengutronix successfully tested the D-Link DUB-H4 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub.

SD Card Mux / Switcher

Linux Automation USB-SD-Mux Classic and FAST are supported.

Remote GPIO Control

Pengutronix uses LXA IOBus 4DO-3DI-3AI boards, connected via simple CAN-USB-interfaces or the LXA TAC.

Webcam

Pengutronix uses Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 and a few other USB UVC compatible webcams. Magnetic camera mounts are useful to position them in the lab racks.

Test Controller

Pengutronix uses the LXA TAC when an integrated controller is needed.
