Releases: kyle8998/Vynchronize
v1.1.0
v1.0.1
v1.0.0 Public Release
Vynchronize has finally reached a point where it can be released! It should be fully functional with minimal bugs!
Enjoy watching videos in sync with friends!
Submit any bugs/suggestions to the issues page!
v0.9-beta
This release was focused more on the front end and polishing up some functionality. Most of the content has been compressed so the video and chat/online users are visible without scrolling.
Many enhancements were made such as chat auto scroll, hidden scroll bars, and many more! The URL invites have also been improved with it's own invite button and sanitized room creation to prevent and url bugs.
I am reaching a point of the project where it is almost stable and ready for public use! I will be focusing on fixing up all the bugs and polishing it all up before version 1.0!
v0.8-beta
Not a release packed with new features, but more of a polished release.
Many major bugs were fixed, and the overall experience is enhanced. One new feature is the URL parameter option where people can send invites via URLs. Next release should include a better front end.
v0.7-beta
Many bug fixes and an alert system!
There were many major bugs in the last release that are now squashed in this one. A big add to this release is automatic host reassignment and the introductions of alerts on any major action (e.g. host change, sync, etc.)
v0.6-beta
Host and Event Functionality
The host system completely redesigned to work with event handlers. Only the host socket is able to control the video using events which prevents any overflow errors. Host changing also implemented to allow for seamless control across sockets.
v0.5-beta
Event Handlers!
Synchronization should be completely handed using event handlers! What does this mean? Well you should not need to use the buttons anymore! Everything should be handled with the video player controls.
Note: This is still very buggy. Mobile does not work. Overflow may occur if too many events conflict (multiple people seeking in a room at once)
v0.4-beta
Vimeo Support!
Many little enhancements, but the core feature of this release is Vimeo support. It seems to be fully functional. There is one strange case where the syncing does not work if you use Vynchronize on two different tabs on the same computer. This is caused by the Vimeo player itself, and I do not think I can fix that. It shouldn't affect normal users though as they will be watching with others online!
v0.3-beta
Primary focus was bug fixes and small optimizations.
The foundation for future video player support should now be viable and bug free. Both YouTube and Daily Motion synchronization should be completely functional with minimal bugs.
