It may be a network error. We can run

nerdctl -n k8s.io pull quay.io/calico/node:v3.25.1

to troubleshoot into it.

im facing the same issue as well. seems like nerdctl was not installed properly

i tried another CNI (cilium) and i got the same error where nerdctl is not found

quick workaround is manually downloading the nerdctl binary and placing it inside /usr/local/bin

also need to manually place runc and crictl inside /usr/local/bin

The download script may not work correctly in the environment.

I tried 3 OS's : Ubuntu 22, Cent OS, Oracle 9. Always different errors for each declared OS. And no proofs for working script for automatic deployment of Kubernetes

It's related to #10268.
There is a workaround here #10268 (comment) which is basically copying the missing files into /usr/local/bin after the deployment script fails the first time. You have to do it on each node.

it doesn't look like an auto-deploy script at all. In addition, there are many more errors after this fix. See my another opened issues

I can confirm that downgrading ansible from 8.3.0 (core 2.15.3) to → 7.7.0 (core 2.14.9) solved this particular issue in my case.
