Hi @kristophjunge thanks for your work, this bundle saved me some time. According to Mediawiki's life cycle, 1.31 is the new LTS, so I went for it. Take care,-NT

@kristophjunge a note: I did not explicitely bump the base image, but it looks like the tag is now referring to debian9, while your image at docker hub is debian8. So, instead of all my fixes, I'm now trying with: 7.0-fpm-jessie, which should be the only change from the original Dockerfile, besides bumping MEDIAWIKI_VERSION_MINOR.

This is because of several ridiculous problems found later on (building my image from /kristophjunge/mediawiki:1.31/) with debian9:

I think you have identified what is causing the current build issues. Looks like this has been open awhile so I'm going to fork and take this myself. Thanks for the contribution.
