MIDI Monitor: When new midi sources or destinations are added ... do not add them to spy on output to

I am developing a USB MIDI interface, so that device will often disappear and reappear in the device list.

I have When new midi sources or destinations are added set to Select them in the current window and that works great because it can detect the device reconnecting and it will enable it in the MIDI sources. However, this has the side effect of also adding it to "Spy on output to destinations", which is undesirable to me because I am only interested in incoming traffic. It would be great if there was a dedicated option to decide whether new midi sources should be added to MIDI sources only or also to spy on output destinations.
