You can now build it using Maven. RPB.java is now generated every time you build the project. Have fun.

Getting build errors here:

[ERROR] .../riak-java-pb-client/src/main/gen/com/trifork/riak/RPB.java:[12,33] cannot find symbol
symbol : class MessageOrBuilder
location: package com.google.protobuf

Bumped os.installed.protoc.version from

•    <os.installed.protoc.version>2.3.0</os.installed.protoc.version>
  

•    <os.installed.protoc.version>2.4.1</os.installed.protoc.version>
  

  And that got the build working..
