KeyboardAvoidingView on foldable device

The input is covered by the keyboard when unfolding the device. The app needs to be restarted for it to work properly again. When I switch back to React Native’s KeyboardAvoidingView, it works perfectly.

Actually, the keyboard is pushing the input field up, but the offset is not calculated correctly. There are two scenarios:

1. If the app is opened in the folded state and then the phone is unfolded, when you try to open the keyboard, it covers the input field. This happens because there isn’t enough offset—it is still considering the previous smaller keyboard height.

2. If the app is opened in the unfolded state and then the phone is folded, when you try to open the keyboard, it pushes the input field up too much, leaving extra space. This happens because it is still considering the previous larger keyboard height.

Just checked it. I can not reproduce it in example app.

The funny things is that I get similar result only when I hard-code screen height inside the KeyboardAvoidingView implementation:

    // const { height: screenHeight } = useWindowDimensions();
    const screenHeight = 772.952393;
    console.log(111, screenHeight);

But if I uncomment useWindowDimensions everything starts to work properly:

I'm pretty sure that the problem comes from useWindowDimensions (that it returns old dimensions that are valid only for un-folded state). But again in my env it works properly.

Could you please create a reproduction repo so that we have the same codebase? Otherwise it's very hard to try to fix it, because maybe in your app you are using dimensions locker and they prevent window resize 🤷‍♂️
