We try to make the package installable via pip by fixing setup.py. It should work for pip install zipslicer on linux and mac, you may try also installing via pip install zipslicer==0.8.1 if it fails to pick up the latest version by default.
This is the initial version that is supported by pip install, please report your issues in Github Issues.
