Opened #20 for this. Worth noting: the title says "home screen widget," but after digging in, what's being described is Android's status-bar "Live Update" chip (the pill near the clock for ongoing activities, Android 16+) — not a launcher widget, and not the existing Samsung Now Bar pill this app already drives. See the PR and its linked design spec for the full reasoning.
Closing: resolved by #20 (status-bar Live Update chip). The title said 'home screen widget,' but the actual intent was the Android 16+ Live Update chip.
