LaTeXML equation tables were flattened into a sequence of separate block equations, so aligned multi-line equations lost their alignment and equation numbers. Now only a table holding a single whole equation is unwrapped to <math> (equation numbers are dropped as before); other equation tables are kept in HTML. Markdown still converts every equation to TeX.

Example: equation (8) in https://arxiv.org/html/2609.38986v1#S2.EGx8 — before, X^v Enc|ψ⟩, ∝ Σ… and ↦ Σ… render as three centered lines and (8) is lost; after, the two aligned rows and (8) are kept. On that paper 56 equation tables are kept; no formulas are added or lost.

The equation-table pass rebuilt every table from TeX, dropping
native-only expressions and rows. Only unwrap a table that holds a
single whole equation (equation numbers are dropped as before); keep
other equation tables in HTML. Markdown still converts each equation
to TeX.
