Lab 1 doesn't work

At the SF Data Palooza on Jul 26 I was not able to get any images to transfer to the S3 buckets in Lab 1. An announcement was made that there was a bug in one of the routines and that everyone should move to Lab 2 (which was driven by time constraints as well).

Looks like this was caused by

the code referenced boto3.Session().client('sagemaker-sagemaker') that was failing. boto3-1.4.7 and botocore-1.7.36. (Oct 26, 2017).
