About the Journal

The journal acts as an ongoing repository for multidisciplinary panels created by contributors across academia. Submissions are encouraged from teams spanning multiple academic institutions, emphasizing collaboration and diverse perspectives. Accepted submissions will serve as both journal entries and presentation materials for open-source capacity-building events.

Submission Process

We welcome panel submissions in the form of:

  • Markdown files (.md)
  • Jupyter Notebooks (.ipynb)

Steps to Submit a Panel

  1. Fork this repository and create a branch for your submission.
  2. Add your panel content in the proposals directory, following the submission template.
  3. Open a pull request with your panel title and description.
  4. The organizing team will review your submission. If approved, the pull request will be merged.
  5. Your submission will be included in the journal and converted into a presentation using RISE.

Review Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Multidisciplinarity: Does the panel involve multiple disciplines?
  • Institutional Diversity: Does it represent contributions from multiple academic institutions?
  • Relevance: Does the panel advance open-source capacity in academia?
