issue/PR-grooming in original repo

i did some "unorganized" browsing of the issues in the original repository. but maybe i should do some grooming and make some notes to:
1. address relevant issues/PRs in my fork
1. be able to quickly clean up those in case someone might promote me to maintainer of the original repository once this side project matures.
