Kendo UI Extended API

The Kendo UI Extended API extends the Kendo UI Framework with additional widgets.

Kendo UI Web Extended Widgets

• ExtBorderLayout - A layout similar to the ExtJS Border Layout
• ExtContextMenu - ContextMenu that that can be applied to any HTML element.
• ExtDialog - Extends the Kendo.ui.Window
• ExtAlertDialog - Alert Dialog
• ExtInputDialog - Input Dialog
• ExtOkCancelDialog - Ok/Cancel Dialog
• ExtYesNoDialog - Yes/No Dialog
• ExtWaitDialog - Wait Dialog
• ExtDropDownGrid - Kendo DropDownList that displays a Kendo Grid instead of a list when clicked.
• ExtDropDownTreeView - Kendo DropDownList that displays a Kendo TreeView instead of a list when clicked.
• ExtTextBox - TextBox that applies the Kendo styles and supports placeholder for HTML 5 and non HTML 5 browsers.

Adding Kendo UI Web Extended API to Your Application

Adding the StyleSheet

Add the contents of the styles folder to your application. In the HTML file, add a reference to kendo.ext.css. For example:

Adding the JavaScript

Add the contents of the js folder to your application. In the HTML file, define the reference to the kendo.web.ext.js after the references to the jQuery and Kendo UI JavaScript files. For example:

Annoucements

• Some of the widgets found in the Kendo UI Extended API will be added to the Kendo Labs, Kendo UI Plugins Repository. However, all the widgets will continue to be developed here.
