This is part of my project to make batchspawner handle the user environment better. It doesn't immediately make things better, but provides one tool which will help environment management later.
The
req_keepvars
defaults to a lot of stuff from inside JupyterHub. If you want to add something, you have to copy and paste the default - something fragile. This lets you append without worrying about what is inside.Add keepvars_extra to whitelist more environment.
all-or-nothing: you can't append to existing required environemnt
