Cycle-2 addendum (2026-05-05)

Cycle-1 finding (#issuecomment-4378404463): docs/read-along-feature/ is gitignored at .gitignore:75, so the GitHub URL would 404. Resolution: replace workedExample.url target with a stable resolvable anchor. Updated AC:

• SUPERSEDED by cycle-3 "Description-URL coherence (resolved cycle-3)" section below. The split-brain state (description → docs/read-along-feature/, URL → SKILL.md) is replaced; both now anchor at the SKILL.md.

Description-URL coherence (resolved cycle-3)

workedExample.description and workedExample.url both anchor at .claude/skills/analysis-funnel/SKILL.md — the canonical SKILL.md that documents the disk-checkpoint pattern. Description text reads: "the analysis-funnel SKILL documents 5→5→3→1 disk-checkpoint discipline; verify_phase.sh + STATUS.md + per-phase context-packets exemplify Checkpointing realization in this repo." The artifact tree at docs/read-along-feature/ is intentionally gitignored personal scratch (out of scope for this satellite).

readerMove.anchorUrl AC (added cycle-3)

That URL returns HTTP 404. The directory exists locally but .gitignore line 75 (/docs/read-along-feature/) prevents it from ever being pushed. No implementer can satisfy "resolves at HEAD" without either removing that .gitignore entry and pushing the tree, or the criterion being updated to a URL that can actually resolve (e.g., a different anchor, or dropping the "resolves at HEAD" requirement and treating the URL as a local convention only).

Secondary note — prerequisites are open. W0.2 (#306) and W1.0 (#307) are both OPEN. If those are hard blockers before W2.2 can be executed, that dependency should be stated explicitly in the issue (e.g., "blocked by #306, #307"). If they are soft dependencies (the type system exists even if the issue isn't closed), that's fine, but it should be clarified to avoid an implementer starting and discovering mid-flight that realizingInClaudeCode isn't on the Pattern type yet.

These are the only two findings. The scope is bounded, rationale is evidence-anchored, labels match, word count is well under 800, no draft marker, no PR #287 reference, no Memory Mgmt threshold mention.

IMPORTANT — the URL fix resolves the 404 but creates a misleading link.

The Cycle-1 finding was that workedExample.url pointed at a gitignored path that would always 404. The Cycle-2 addendum proposes: keep the description pointing at docs/read-along-feature/, but anchor the URL at .claude/skills/analysis-funnel/SKILL.md.

The target URL resolves (verified: gh api repos/julianken/detached-node/contents/.claude/skills/analysis-funnel/SKILL.md returns HTTP 200 on main). That part is fixed.

The incoherence: the resulting workedExample field has a description referencing the read-along artifact tree and a URL pointing at a different file (the funnel skill). A reader clicking the link expecting the worked example artifact tree lands at the analysis-funnel SKILL.md instead. This is a broken link in substance, not just in form. The fix substitutes a 404 for a misdirection.

A coherent resolution requires one of two things: (a) the description is updated to match the SKILL.md destination (i.e., the worked example is the funnel skill itself, not the artifact tree), or (b) the artifact tree is un-gitignored and committed so the original URL can actually resolve.

Pre-existing note (not a new finding, from cycle 1): The workedExample, seeAlso, readerMove, ccPrimitives, and scaffolding fields required by the AC do not exist on the Pattern type (src/data/agentic-design-patterns/types.ts). W1.0 (#307), which adds fields to Pattern, remains OPEN. This is a prerequisite dependency, not an issue with the Cycle-2 addendum itself, but it means no implementer can satisfy the full AC until W1.0 lands.

IMPORTANT — cycle-2 misdirection finding is not resolved.

The cycle-2 finding: workedExample.url pointing at SKILL.md while workedExample.description references docs/read-along-feature/ creates a semantic mismatch — a reader clicking the link expecting the artifact tree lands at the funnel skill doc instead.

The cycle-3 response adds a "Description-URL coherence" note explaining both are "aspects of the same realization." That explanation does not close the AC gap. The implementer will still produce a workedExample field where the url does not lead to what the description describes. The issue spec's prose note rationalizes the mismatch but does not instruct the implementer to fix either side of it.

An AC-satisfying resolution still requires one of the two paths from cycle 2: (a) update the workedExample.description AC to match the SKILL.md destination (the worked example is the skill doc, not the gitignored tree), or (b) un-gitignore the artifact tree and commit it so the original URL can resolve.

IMPORTANT — readerMove.anchorUrl has no AC coverage.

W1.0 (#307 body) defines CcReaderMove = { text: string; anchorUrl: string }. The W2.2 AC checks readerMove.text content and word count but has no criterion for readerMove.anchorUrl. An implementer satisfying all listed AC checks can leave anchorUrl empty or absent and pass. This is a field-alignment gap per the spec-review scope.

Fix: add a criterion, e.g. readerMove.anchorUrl = a valid URL pointing at the SKILL.md anchor for the disk-checkpoint step (or whatever canonical location applies).

This contradicts the cycle-3 resolution. An implementer executing against the unchecked ACs — which are the operative checklist — would implement the split-brain state (description → gitignored path, URL → SKILL.md) that cycle-3 claims to have fixed. The cycle-2 checkbox must be struck through or replaced with a struck-through note, and the operative AC must unambiguously state that both description and URL point at SKILL.md with no mention of docs/read-along-feature/ as the description target.

Cycle-3 findings addressed (coherence resolution and anchorUrl AC): confirmed. The residual cycle-2 checkbox contradiction is the only blocker to APPROVE.
