Work Summary:

Creating a survey to ask people what they think might be helpful to get insights about what keeps users from migrating to newer versions.

These are some of the questions:

• What version of the Schema are you using?
• What is your biggest challenge when using your version of the Schema?
• What version do you want to be using?
• What features/keywords do you find valuable?
• What reasons do you have for not upgrading to the version you want to be using?

What other questions do you consider relevant? Please contribute in the comments.

Work Detail:

• Create a list of questions with the Community.
• Build a survey in google forms or any other alternative.
• Promote on social media
• Publish the results.
• Retrospective and adjust plans.

Somewhere in here I would perhaps even lead with "do you know what a version of JSON Schema is?" and "How many have you heard about or seen?" and maybe even "do you know how to use one version or another" and "how many versions of JSON Schema do you think your tooling supports?"
