I would like to request the ankit.js.org domain to host my Text to Handwriting project. This project, built using JavaScript, aims to convert typed text into a realistic handwriting style. It offers a unique, personalized way to generate handwritten text for various applications, from notes to creative projects. Having a dedicated domain will make it easier to showcase my work and provide a simple, accessible platform for users to experience and utilize the technology I’ve developed. https://github.com/ankit-chaubey/text-to-handwriting

Hi there,
❔ Please, could you explain the reason for requesting ankit.js.org
when the project it is targeting appears to use a different name (text-to-handwriting) and is not related to this name you have requested?
FYI: https://github.com/js-org/js.org/wiki/Subdomain-Determination
Yes, actually, it will be updated to include Ankit's JavaScript handwritten tools, and many more JavaScript plugins need to be added to the repository. Therefore, specifying only 'text to handwriting' is not ideal for the long-term vision. For example, there are plugins for editing and changing the background of images, but they are still in progress. That's why I want to keep the current name for now and plan to update it by December 2024 or January 2025. |

Most of my project is related to JavaScript, including JS Telegram bots, mini apps, games, and a few tools for students, like text-to-handwriting. I can't name it 'Ankit's JS Handwritten Tools' or just 'Handwritten Tools' because users will associate these tools with my name, Ankit. For the sake of integrity, I plan to update and expand it later with more features. I'm currently searching for a short domain, and I found that it's available for free under .js.org, which is why I want to use it.
Okay, I think we might be better off waiting until you have that code/content in place, so we can make a better assessment of what you're asking to use the subdomain for -- as it stands at present, I don't think it makes sense, but may do once you have that in place. @indus thoughts? |
Okay, For now, I’ll be using text-to-handwriting.js.org. Once my project is fully ready, I’ll submit a new pull request under the name 'ankit.js.org' |

Now I changed to text-to-handwriting.js.org.
@MattIPv4 With the new specific subdomain I don't see a problem any more, but for ankit I share your opinion. |
@MattIPv4 @indus I am requesting new subdomains for 'ankit.' I already have more than half of the project completed, though it is currently private. I plan to make it public soon as I add updates. This domain is important to me because 'Ankit' is my name, and I have several projects associated with it, such as 'Ankit Games' and 'Ankit Tools.' For example, I intend to use subdomains like ankit.js.org/games and ankit.js.org/bg-remover to organize these projects. I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this request, and I look forward to your response. I currently have a total of 6 JavaScript projects, and instead of requesting separate domains for each, I’d like to have a single domain with subdirectories, as mentioned before. This way, I can organize the projects under a single domain (e.g., ankit.js.org/games, ankit.js.org/bg-remover). |
