This may be the wrong place for this but the eloquent github repo doesn't seem to have an "issues" section. Maybe you have a suggestion? I did as per your README and composer fails with this:

The "http://packagist.org/p/illuminate/database%24a951ffbff16ee94c9283993d0a04bc6b6818913fba82a6a2c131da9f224a557d.json" file could not be downloaded: php_network_getaddress
es: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known
failed to open stream: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known

The problem was that I was editing the composer.json file manually instead of using "composer require" – the latter revealed missing dependencies instead of just a cryptic error message, which helped me to resolve the issue.
