Experimenting with Dev Containers

Inside the Dev Container

The provided development container is a medium-sized environment with the following specifications:

  • .NET 7.0 SDK: The bleeding edge of .NET technology, allowing us to build and run applications.
  • Visual Studio Code Extensions: A curated list of extensions to enhance productivity, including C# support, code linting, and formatting.
  • PostgreSQL 16: A robust, Alpine Linux-based database setup, ready for all our data persistence needs.

How to Use This Repository

Docker and Docker Compose

The docker-compose.yaml defines a simple multi-container application with an app service using the .NET 7.0 image and a PostgreSQL database.
