Google Books Retriever

Description:

This is a MERN stack app that uses Google Books API to search for books. In addition, users can sign-up/login to add or remove books from their saved books list.

Installation

To install project, simply clone repository or download documents and save them to your computer. Also, type in terminal npm i from root to download all needed dependencies. In addition, run npm run build to build react scripts and when ready to run app, use script npm run develop.

Usage

To use app as a user, visit the link here.

1. To use app, search for your books of interest by topic, name or any other keyword. That will populate a list of books.
2. To add a book to your favorites list, click on "save this book!" and that will add the book to your "See your books" list.
3. To delete a book from your saved books list, go to your "See your books" list and click on "Delete this book!". Happy reading!
