markdown-rails redundant?

Doesn't Jacob's stack overflow answer http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4163560/how-can-i-automatically-render-partials-using-markdown-in-rails-3/4418389#4418389 make this gem redundant.

If so would you consider directing people to this solution, in this gems readme. If not could you explain the benefits of using this gem over that solution.

I wrote markdown-rails because I didn't want to indent my files, and I wanted proper highlighting. That said, if you want to add something to the README pointing out that you can use Haml, that'd be awesome!

Sorry Jo hope my comment didn't come across as snarky. Jacobs solution that I referred to adds a ActionView::Template.register_template_handler allowing you to have markdown views in which you can embed erb. Its currently the second answer on the page. There is no requirement for Haml, or indenting files with this solution, and it works a treat

So now I see the answer you're referring to. That's probably better indeed. I've added a notice at the top of the README.
