oauth 2.0?

It's my understanding that python-oauth2 is actually an implementation of OAuth 1.0. With the OAuth 2.0 final spec imminent, this is going to get really confusing for anyone trying to use the new, non-backwards-compatible spec, especially as there doesn't seem to be a complete OAuth 2.0 implementation in python yet. Is there anything you guys can do to mitigate this?

Indeed, this is very confusing, even the 0Auth 2.0 guy got it wrong and listed it in their implementations pages:

I'm not sure that the implementation above can be used for a server-side OAuth 2.0 implementation. I found theses as well:

I had a lot of trouble working with python-oauth2 because it doesn't exactly
follow the RFC specification. So I'm writing a very compliant one at

http://github.com/gorakhargosh/pyoauth

It passes all the RFC tests and supports all signature methods. Works
on Python2.5+, PyPy, and Python 3.0 as well. I'll be adding OAuth 2.0
support soon. However, contributions and patches are welcome.

why is there a 2 in the repository name python-oauth2 if it has nothing to do with 2?

@intellix it's the second python-oauth library (and was created before there was an oauth 2)

Closing since the doc update in #202 clarifies this
