Kitty, ZSH and selecting text

So it turns out Kitty does not deal with selecting text, that is something for the shell to handle! I use ZSH and by chance, the oh-my-zsh flavor. Anyway, I found this plugin but now have two simple issues.

1. the plugin installed and worked, but kitty uses shit+ctrl for a lot of functionality and so this plugin is competing with it?

What do Kitty users do then to get both this plugin working and native kitty key maps left alone?

2. The selected text does not dump to the clipboard on a MacOS copy command. So what do people do usually to get this plugin to copy to clipboard?

For anyone wondering how to make the function that copies to clipboard.

zle -N shift-select::copy-region

Add this at the end

bindkey -M shift-select 'e' shift-select::copy-region

(this will make what you've selected get copied when pressing e...wasn't able to find the cmd+c sequence)
