A simple, free, local-only website blocker for Brave, Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers.

No ads. No accounts. No tracking. No subscriptions.

Your block list stays in your browser.

Installation

  1. Download or clone this repository.
  2. Open Brave or Chrome.
  3. Navigate to:

brave://extensions

or

chrome://extensions

  1. Enable Developer Mode.
  2. Click Load unpacked.
  3. Select the DopamineGuard folder.

Usage

  1. Click the DopamineGuard extension icon.
  2. Add one website per line.

Example:

facebook.com youtube.com reddit.com x.com

  1. Customize the block message if desired.
  2. Ensure "Enable blocking" is checked.
  3. Click Save settings.

Privacy

All settings are stored locally in your browser.

DopamineGuard does not collect, transmit, store, or share any user data.
