RNB Has All Directories Grayed Out

I am running an older win 7 64 bit pro HP Z400 PC. Yesterday when shutting down the pc I got the Blue Screen of Death. Everything is working today but when I ran RNB my entries were not showing. I still have all the RNB data files but RNB has all the directories and drives greyed out. I was running version 2.11.2. I uninstalled RNB and I tried to install a current version but I got an [api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing error message. So I decided to go with an earlier version and I installed RNB 1.14 but again all the directories are greyed out. I tried to get RNB to create a directory but I got a Wrong Directory - Please select an empty directory error message.

I am at a loss as what to do now. Windows File Explorer is working fine.

Any advice would be welcomed

You might want to navigate to your RedNotebook journal in the explorer (C:\Users\username.rednotebook\data) and check that the files can be read with notepad. Then the next step could be to copy the "data" directory to a new location and opening that new location from within RedNotebook.
