  1. Bump _VERSION_ in googler
  2. Update _EPOCH_ in googler and info.json (if applicable)
  3. Update date and version in googler.1
  4. Update stable release URL in README.md (replace the version)
  5. Update packagecore.yaml, if necessary
  6. Update CHANGELOG with the new changes
  7. Make sure help text in README.md is up-to-date
  8. Create signed tag and push to GitHub
  9. Create a GitHub release and populate the release notes section with what went into CHANGELOG earlier
  10. Notify downstream package maintainers
