As discussed in #885, the
loopmacro can be confusing in terms of the behaviour of modifiers on nested loops. Indeed, nested loop behaviour isn't expressly explained at all in the docstring.This PR attempts to clarify behaviour. It also tidies up some minor stylistic issues in the current docstring.
