Research and work in 1 or more of these areas:

• webseeds: leveraging existing HTTP mirrors, like Wikipedia, etc.
• private networks
• large blocks TODO: link this to public discussion thread(s)

Prioritization will be reviewed in July 2025 alongside OIF advisory committee and/or IPFS Foundation.

Expected impact

Each of these topics have been requested within the IPFS ecosystem for greater than 7 years, but with no substantial work done towards them..

This gives an avenue to work with partners who can serve as flagship users of these features and drive growth from similar use cases.
