bug: datetime, typing into time picker does not update value prop

Current Behavior

When clicking on popover time selector of ion-datetime, the keyboard is open.

Expected Behavior

Should not open keyboard when click on popover time selector

This may only happen on Android devices, i'v tried on my iPhone and iOS simulator but it's seem doesn't happen.

Thanks for the issue. This is an intentional feature of ion-datetime. Tapping the time opens a keyboard to allow you to type in the time instead of swiping.

This is the behavior on native iOS too:

I've tried, yes it work find, but the problem is the keyboard just hided my popover so I don't see it.

Btw it's turn to another issue, it's seem the time we've typed not update, even when close the popover.

It's only update when I scroll the hour or minute wheel. And it doesn't sync hour and minute together when scroll to. After typing by keyboard, if you scroll the hour, the hour got update only, not both hour and minute, similar to minute wheel.

I'm not quite sure I follow what the issue is. Can you please provide steps to reproduce the issue?

Here I shot a simple steps to reproduce the issue. As you can see, the value which typed by keyboard is not update. It's only update when we scroll the hour & minute wheel.

Thanks! It looks like we update the value prop of the column, but ionChange never fires so the ion-datetime value does not update.
