Pre-release activities - Update and apply the latest roxygen documentation tags

This task involves reviewing the existing documentation to identify and replace outdated Roxygen tags such as \code, \preformat, and \itemize with their modern equivalents.

Additionally, manual line breaks should be introduced where necessary, replacing \cr tag .
