Thank you for your interest in Infinitic! Infinitic relies on advanced messaging features to build durable and reliable workflows—features that Kafka currently lacks, such as delayed messages, shared subscriptions, and key-shared subscriptions. These capabilities are essential to how Infinitic operates and are a significant reason for its integration with Apache Pulsar. That said, we fully recognize Kafka's popularity and its widespread adoption across many organizations. While Infinitic requires Pulsar to run, it is entirely possible to publish Kafka events from Infinitic workflows, or use Kafka events to trigger workflows or send signals to active workflows. This enables you to leverage Kafka within your existing infrastructure while benefiting from Infinitic's workflow capabilities. Although we don’t have immediate plans to offer native Kafka support, we have ideas about how to extend Infinitic’s compatibility with diverse event infrastructures, including Kafka. If Kafka support is critical to your use case, we’d love to hear more about your specific requirements. Your input is invaluable in shaping our roadmap and prioritizing future integrations. |
