name: haal
repo: indium114/haal
asset: "haal_Linux_x86_64"run the following; ensure that ~/.cargo/bin is in your $PATH
cargo install haalthe config file is stored at ~/.config/haal/init.lua, and the ascii logo is stored at ~/.config/haal/logo.txt.
to generate a starting config, run
just configurefrom the root of this repo.
the init.lua file should contain two things:
logo_colour: a string containing a hex code. this sets the colour of the ascii logostats: a table of strings, these are the rows of the fetch output.
for example, here's a basic config that shows a green logo and some info about the operating system:
logo_colour = "#00FF00"
stats = {
"distro: " .. os.name .. " " .. os.version,
"hostname: " .. os.hostname,
"kernel version: " .. os.kernel,
}all of the available stats are used in the default config, but they will also be below for reference.
user.name: your username
wm.name: the name of the running window manager
vendor.name: the vendor of the computer/motherboardvendor.model: the model of the computer/motherboard
uptime.uptime: the uptime of the system (already nicely formatted for you)
terminal.name: the name of the running terminal
shell.name: the name of the default shell
os.name: the name of the os (typically your distro's name)os.version: the version of the osos.hostname: your system's hostnameos.kernel: the version of the kernel
mem.total: total amount of memory in your system, in gigabytesmem.used: amount of used memory in your system, in gigabytes
gpu.name: the name of your graphics card
disk.total: total size of the root drive, in gigabytesdisk.used: used space on the root drive, in gigabytes
cpu.name: the name (and typically frequency) of your cpucpu.freq: the frequency of your cpu, in gigahertz
