[Bug]: Download history disappears after some time

Have you tested that this is not an upstream issue or an issue with your configuration?

• I have tried reproducing this issue in Chrome and it could not be reproduced there
• I have tried reproducing this issue in ungoogled-chromium and it could not be reproduced there
• I have tried reproducing this issue in Helium with a new and empty profile using --user-data-dir command line argument and it could not be reproduced there

Description

Download history entries disappear after some time, while the downloaded files remain saved on disk.

How to Reproduce?

1. Download one or more files in Helium Browser.
2. Open the Downloads/download history view and confirm the downloads are listed.
3. Continue using Helium for some time, or check the download history again later.
4. Notice that the download history entries are no longer visible.

Actual behavior

The downloaded files are still present on the device, but the download history inside Helium becomes empty or invisible after some time.

Expected behavior

Helium should keep showing previous downloads in the download history unless the user clears them manually.

Additional context

The issue seems limited to the browser's download history UI/storage. The downloaded files themselves remain saved on disk.

is the history gone from just the bubble (when you click on the "downloads" button in the toolbar) or also the full history in webui?

It is happening in the full helium://downloads web UI too, not only the toolbar downloads bubble.

I added 3 screenshots showing the behavior:

• Around 12:44 PM, a file is actively downloading and visible in helium://downloads.

• Around 12:49 PM, that download has completed and is still visible there, along with another downloaded image.

• Around 1:52 PM, the “Today” download entries no longer appear in the full downloads page.

One clarification: the older entries marked Deleted are not part of this bug. They show that way because I manually deleted those files from my device. The issue I’m reporting is only that some completed download history entries disappear from helium://downloads without me clearing the history.
