Two monitors are displayed as one on Ubuntu Linux 20.04 with KDE

I try to launch the Remotely_Desktop portable app on Ubuntu Linux 20.04 with KDE with two monitors connected, and connect to it via Firefox.

Connection is successful, but in browsers shown image from both displays, on "Monitors" button shows only one monitor "Monitor 0" instead of two.

Is this a Remotely issue, or problem in some system configuration settings?

I've actually never tested it on Ubuntu with dual screens since I've only ever had a Hyper-V VM to test on. I'm not surprised that it didn't work correctly. :D The X11 documentation I found wasn't super intuitive.

I probably won't ever get around to installing Ubuntu on a physical machine and moving monitors around to create a test environment for this. If someone else wants to work on it, that'd be awesome.

I have the same experience with Manjaro, also running KDE. I don't necessarily have any help to offer but if some cross-testing is needed, I can facilitate.

On PoPOS with 3 monitors too, it just displays them side by side from firefox.

This has been fixed and will be included in the next release. Tested on Kubuntu 20.04 with two monitors, at least.

It turns out the that multi-monitor support no longer uses multiple "screens" as exposed by libx11. Instead, all monitors are put on the same display and screen, and they need to be queried through libxrandr. This has been added as a dependency in the installer.

I forgot to mention...

I switched to the SkiaSharp library for JPEG encoding in a recent release. While working on this, I discovered a memory leak when running on Linux. So I've gone back to libgdiplus.
