Often, permissions are outlined in commands. These can be fairly vague, so this document is here to explain them.
Permissions are categorised into three groups.
- Discord permissions
- Role permissions
- Developer permission
These are just the names of the Discord permissions - pretty straight forward.
These require you to have a special role. Currently there are two role permissions:
- Moderator
- Helper The implementation of these permissions depends on the server that is hosting the bot. Currently, on the r/ibo Discord server, Moderator is set to the "Staff" role, and "Helper" is set to the "Subject Helper" role.
This is one permission that is explicitly granted to "developers" on bot startup. It allows users to execute the highly sensitive eval command. Currently, only maintainers/administrators have this permission on the r/ibo Discord server.
