macOS (Apple silicon) in releases and nightlies - #41

release.yml (which nightly.yml calls) builds darwin-arm64 again on macos-15: the hub and web UI as `backplane` (no window), packaged like Linux and listed in install.sh; the Linux packages are made on Linux only. Each release's notes give its own installer, so a nightly's installs the nightly. The hub assumed GNU and Linux tools a Mac lacks: timeout (gh, titles and summaries, model lists, CLI versions, tailscale), setsid (work_run without systemd), realpath -e and find -printf (the folder picker, project add). src/core/port.bend's `tmo` falls back to gtimeout, then perl's alarm; setsid to perl's POSIX::setsid. Built, smoke-tested and packaged on macOS 26 (Apple clang 17). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

release.yml(called bynightly.yml) builds darwin-arm64 again onmacos-15: the hub + web UI asbackplane(no native window), packaged like Linux, with its sha filled intoinstall.sh. AppImage/deb steps run on Linux only.install.sh(latest/never resolves to a prerelease, so nightlies had the wrong installer).timeout(gh, titles/summaries, model lists, CLI versions, tailscale),setsid(work_run without systemd),realpath -eandfind -printf(folder picker, project.add, which failed the smoke test). Newsrc/core/port.bend:tmofalls back togtimeout, then perl'salarm; setsid falls back to perl'sPOSIX::setsid.Tested:
scripts/check.sh(all terms check, proofs),scripts/build.sh && scripts/smoke.sh && scripts/package.shon macOS 26 / Apple clang 17 (hs-mac-mini): both binaries pass smoke, packaged tarball runs, Bun helpers are ad-hoc signed. The fallbacks were tested on macOS and under dash on Linux.Risk: the Bend emit of the server peaks around 8.3 GB RSS; macos-15 runners have 7 GB plus swap/compression. The first nightly will show whether that is enough.
