Monetisation of models

What do you think about paying some % to developer / owners of models if it's getting used through inference API ?
It could make it more attractive uploading more amazing models if it's possible to generate some passive income.
It would be like rapid API for NLP 🤗

It's a very interesting idea, that has been discussed internally before. Thanks for reopening the discussion.

The (legal) work needed would be non trivial, so if huggingface could get a sense of the number of model developpers interested that would be great.
