Cannot save my project from the WSL2 directory

It says in the patch notes that Porymap now works with WSL project paths, but when I open the project in porymap, it lets me see it, but doesn't let me save it

That sounds like a separate issue than the one mentioned in the changelog. Could you attach the full log file mentioned in the cropped out part of this dialog?

its probably something on my end I just want to know how to allow Porymap to edit the files that are stored in the WSL2 directory. The files that are in WSL seem to all be read only

Thank you for the log! That was helpful to determine that the issue is not restricted to porymap.user.cfg, Porymap doesn't have permission to write any of the files it needs to. I suspect you're right that the solution is on your end. Unfortunately I don't have any specific guidance for you, I'm on macOS myself. Perhaps another WSL2 user will see this and offer you some assistance.

I somehow fixed it by rebuilding it and making the directory in the root folder. I'm not sure maybe it was too deep into the file system and caused some permission issues
